ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint- Readme Instructions I. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Software: Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1 Hardware: A computer PC with USB ports. At least 800*600 display resolution. II. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS To install the software for your ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint, please follow below steps: 1. Turn your system on and start Windows. 2. Connect your ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint to the USB port of your PC. 3. If this is the first that you connect the ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint to your system, some "New Device Found" messages may appear on the screen. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. 4. Run the setup program under the default path c:\swtools\drivers\ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint (if you didn't change the path when extracting the driver files.) to install the software for your ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint. There is a argument switch for the setup program: setup.exe /s /v/qn silent installation, no user input needed If you would like to do manual installation by updating driver with Device Manager, please follow below steps: - Windows Vista - 1. Turn your system on, start Windows and logon into the system. 2. Connect your ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint to the USB port of your PC. 3. System will automatically configure the ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint and install the standard driver. 4. Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu. 5. Select "System and Maintenance". 6. Click Device Manager to launch the Device Manager. 7. Choose "Continue" when an User Account Control dialog pop-up. 8. Expand the devices under Mice and other pointing devices, locate HID-compliant mouse and double-click on it. 9. In HID-compliant mouse Properties, select the Driver tab and click on the "Update Driver..." button. 10. Select "Browe my computer for driver software". 11. Select "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". 12. Click "Have Disk..." button in the "Select Device Driver you want to install for this hardware" dialog. In the "Install From Disk" dialog, input the right path of driver or click "Browse..." button to look for driver manually, then Click "Open" . 13. Choose the product you want to install and click "Open" button. 14. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation. - Windows XP - 1. In HID-compliant mouse Properties, select the Driver tab and click on the "Update Driver..." button. 9. Choose "Don't search." item and click "Next" button. 10. Choose "from list or specific location to install(advance) and click "Next" button. 11. Choose "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install" and click "Next" button. 12. Click "Have Disk..." button. In the "Install From Disk" dialog, input the right path of driver or click "Browse..." button to look for driver manually then Click "OK" . 13. Choose the product you want to install and click "Next" button. 14. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation. III. UNINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS To remove this software, please follow below steps: 1. Open the Control Panel by clicking Settings from Start Menu. 2. Open the "Add/Remove Program" and select "ThinkPad USB Keyboard with TrackPoint" from the list. 3. Click on the "Add/Remove" button and follow the instructions to complete uninstallation. If you would like to uninstall from command line, please follow below steps: 1. Open the Command Prompt (Admin) window. 2.
