Brief Description of Announcement, Charges, and Availability

     3101/7485s shipped after August 17, 1984 have a new low-profile
keyboard. The key arrangement is the same as on the former keyboard.

Notice to IBM Customers

IBM 3101/7485 DISPLAY STATIONS ENHANCED
       IBM is now shipping the IBM 3101 Models 230 and 855 and the
IBM 7485 with a new low-profile keyboard. The key arrangement is the
same as on the former keyboard. Since you have machines on order
which are scheduled to be shipped with the new keyboard, please
notify us if this change is acceptable to you, or whether you prefer
to cancel your order.
       Some IBM 3101 Model 230s are expected to be available through
December 31, 1984 and will be scheduled "as available" for customers
who require the old keyboard.
       The 3101-855 and 7485-530, 531 were withdrawn from marketing
effective August 17, 1984. The 7485-630 was withdrawn from marketing
effective October 31, 1984.
