The customer may change the layout by using a kit of alternate style keybuttons and lenses. When connected to the PS/2 (R) keyboard port on the 4684, the Alphanumeric Point-of-Sale Keyboard may be used to emulate a PS/2 keyboard. Optionally, the previously announced Low-Profile DTMSR (feature #6310, part #25F6310) may be attached. The re-legendable area of the keyboard may be reconfigured by use of the enclosed Lens/Keybutton Kit. The Alphanumeric Point-of-Sale Keyboard may attach to the 4683 or 4684 Terminal via the previously announced Integrated (feature #3325, part #6316858) or Distributed (feature #3326, part #6316857) Keyboard Cables, or it may be configured to emulate a PS/2 keyboard attaching to the PS/2 keyboard port on the 4684 via the newly announced Integrated (feature #3328, part #25F6341) or Distributed (feature #3329, part #25F6342) PS/2 Alphanumeric Point-of-Sale Attachment Cable. Alphanumeric Point-of-Sale Legend Sheets provide blank and preprinted labels that may be used to customize the re-legendable keys. A Lens/Keybutton Kit is shipped with the keyboard as an aid to customizing the keyboard to the customer's requirements.
