193-167 IBM THINKPAD 500
       The ThinkPad (R) 500 is a light-weight, full-function,
high-performance, battery-operated, sub-notebook PC.  A PCMCIA port
offers expandability and flexibility.  Portability is enhanced by an
integrated pointing device (TrackPoint II (TM)), sub-notebook size
and light weight.  The system is available in two models that include
DOS and PRODIGY (1) installed on the hard disk:
o   Model 081 with an 85MB (2) hard disk
o   Model 171 with a 170MB hard disk.
       The following options are available:
o   IBM 4MB (3) IC DRAM CARD (3.3v)  (Refer to Product Announcement
    193-165, dated June 15, 1993.)
o   IBM 8MB IC DRAM CARD (3.3v)  (Refer to Product Announcement
    193-165, dated June 15, 1993.)
o   IBM ThinkPad 500 Self-Charging Battery  (59G7933)
o   IBM ThinkPad 500 Rechargeable Battery  (59G7943).
       The following accessories are available:
o   ThinkPad Carrying Case (59G7970) (fits all ThinkPad and PS/note
    machines)
o   ThinkPad Portfolio Case (59G7969) (fits ThinkPad 500 only).
       The distinguished appearance of the ThinkPad 500 can be
enhanced by a personalized nameplate that mounts into an indentation
in the system unit.
       Purchase Price:  $1,999 (Model 081), $2,499 (Model 171).
