For further information please contact your * * local IBM representative. * * * ***************************************************************** ================================================================= IBM 8775 87-KEY EBCDIC TYPEWRITER/TEXT ENTRY AND EDIT KEYBOARD (#4670) IS ANNOUNCED ================================================================= The 87-Key EBCDIC Typewriter/Text Entry and Edit Keyboard Feature for the IBM 8775 Display Terminal is announced. Together with the Interactive Display Text Facility (IDTF) licensed program the keyboard provides @ a text entry and edit capability for an 8775 attached to an IBM 8100 Information System. HIGHLIGHTS: o The 87-Key EBCDIC Typewriter/Text Entry and Edit Keyboard is available on 8775 Models 1,2,11 and 12 attached to an 8100 system. An overlay is provided with each keyboard. o With the IDTF licensed program downstream-loaded from an 8100, an 8775 user can now use text functions similar to those provided by the IBM 3732 Text Display Station in addition to the data functions of the 8775. o The keyboard provides the characters and functions of the 87-Key EBCDIC Typewriter Keyboard available on the 8775, with additions for use with the IDTF text entry and edit functions. The keyboard does not allow the entry of APL characters. FIRST CUSTOMER SHIPMENT: June 1982. MES: MESs will be shipped concurrently with the scheduled First Customer Ship date shown above.
