The guide access panel or compartment was a feature on some IBM Model B and Model F terminal keyboards that allowed them to store a document useful to the terminal's operator or technicians as some sort of quick access to useful information. 327X-75 type, 327X-87 type and 327X-OC type Model Bs could have a colour-matched palm-rest access panel to the host terminal's Problem Determination Guide and may also have a black bottom-mounted flap for the host terminal's Maintenance Information document. 31XX-75 type, 31XX-87 type and 330X type Model Fs had an underside guide slot for their host terminals' Problem Determination Guides.
