The monocase/dualcase switch is a rocker-style switch found on IBM 3104 and 3178 keyboards (31XX-75 and 31XX-87 type Model Fs, excluding the Japanese Katakana versions of such keyboards). It affects how the terminal displays alphabetic characters, which as its "A/A,a" label suggests, toggles between all-uppercase or uppercase and lowercase text.
